Drumstick (Moringa oleifera Lam. Belongs to Moringaceae family, is one of the world’s most useful nutritious plants.
Sometimes called “the tree of life” or “the tree of paradise” due to it is exceptional environmental, medicinal and dietary benefits; the Moringa is a multi-purpose tree whose leaves, flowers, fruits, bark and roots can all be directly consumed.
The leaves of Moringa have more beta-carotene than carrots, more protein than peas, more vitamin C than oranges, more calcium than milk, more potassium than bananas, and more iron than spinach.
Almost every part of the moringa plant has nutritional value. Foliage is eaten as greens, boiled, fried, in soups or for seasoning. The seed can be roasted and eaten like a peanut.
